As a registered NDIS provider, Like Family and its Social Carers are subject to all government mandates regarding vaccinations for disability support workers
With cases of COVID-19 on the rise across all service areas, Like Family continues to put safeguards in place to help keep Social Carers and Members safe on the platform. In accordance with government mandates, we have mandated full vaccination against COVID-19 for all Social Carers.
In order to be considered fully vaccinated, you must receive 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
New South Wales
Social Carers in NSW are required to receive 2 doses of the vaccine in order to be considered fully vaccinated.
In NSW, you are eligible to receive your booster shot 13 weeks after your second dose if you wish to.
Proof of your vaccination status will need to be uploaded to your Social Carer profile in order to continue providing services on the Like Family platform.
Victoria
Social Carers in Victoria are required to receive 2 doses of the vaccine in order to be considered fully vaccinated.
In VIC, you are eligible to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine if you received your second dose 3 or more months ago.
Proof of your vaccination status will need to be uploaded to your Social Carer profile in order to continue providing services on the Like Family platform.
Queensland
Social Carers in Queensland are required to receive 2 doses of the vaccine in order to be considered fully vaccinated.
In QLD, you are eligible to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine if you received your second dose 3 or more months ago.
Proof of your vaccination status will need to be uploaded to your Social Carer profile in order to continue providing services on the Like Family platform.
South Australia
Social Carers in South Australia are required to receive 2 doses of the vaccine in order to be considered fully vaccinated.
You are eligible to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine if you received your second dose 3 or more months ago.
Proof of your vaccination status will need to be uploaded to your Social Carer profile in order to continue providing services on the Like Family platform.
Getting your COVID-19 Vaccination
You can find available vaccination appointments in your area by clicking on the links below. Please note that the links are not to be viewed as an exhaustive list and that you may also be able to book your vaccination via your local GP, Pharmacy, or Vaccination Hub. Under any lockdown restrictions that may be implemented in your area, travel is always permitted for the purpose of obtaining your vaccination.
As you are an essential worker, you may be required to provide proof of service at the time of your vaccination.
*This policy is not negotiable. If you do not wish to receive a vaccination and cannot provide a valid medical exemption, you will not be permitted to work on the Like Family platform.
