How do I obtain and upload my Vehicle Registration?

Vehicle registrations vary from state to state but the information Like Family requires if you wish to use your vehicle to transport Members remains the same

Like Family currently provides support services across 4 of Australia's 7 states and territories, each with its own set of rules, regulations, and certificates relating to licenses and vehicle registration. For Social Carers who wish to provide transport to Members, Like Family must collect copies of their current driver's licence, and the vehicle registrations of any car they may wish to use with our Members.

While the appearance of your vehicle registration certificate will vary according to the state in which you live, it must capture the following information clearly in order for us to accept it:

  • Your Vehicles Number Plate
  • The Body Type or Year/Make/Model (this field varies according to your state)
  • The Expiry Date of the Registration

If you have a paper or digital copy of your vehicle's registration details, you must simply take a clear photo or screenshot of the document and upload it to the Like Family website. A Like Family team member will review and verify the document provided by cross-checking it using your state's vehicle registration check website, and then let you know if we can accept it.

***Please note that we cannot accept registration renewal notices, as they do not have valid expiry dates attached. You will need to search your registration details on the relevant registration check website for your state. More details can be found below.
