At Like Family, we know how important timely payments are for our Social Carers, and we want to make our payment process as clear and reliable as possible.
How Our Payment Cycles Work
Social Carer payments are processed on the 1st and 15th of each month (or the next business day if this falls on a weekend or public holiday). To be included in a pay cycle, make sure you mark your bookings as complete on the platform by the cut-off time:
-
For the 1st of the month: Bookings completed between the 1st and 15th, marked as complete by 11:59pm on the 15th, are paid on the 1st of the following month.
-
For the 15th of the month: Bookings completed between the 16th and the end of the month, marked as complete by 11:59pm on the 30th/31st, are paid on the 15th of the following month.
Payments typically appear in your account 1–3 business days after processing, depending on your bank.
Why Might My Payment Be Delayed?
While we aim for prompt and regular payments, there may occasionally be delays related to a Member’s funding source or payment method. This can include:
-
Waiting for NDIS or other government funding to be processed
-
Delays in Member payments or plan changes
- Audit of services provided
-
Bank processing times
Like other platforms, payment is processed once the Member’s funds for completed bookings are received. If there is any unexpected delay, our team will follow up promptly and keep you updated on progress. Rest assured, we are always working to ensure payment is made as soon as possible, and we will release your funds as soon as they are cleared.
How Can I Help My Payment Run Smoothly?
-
Mark all your completed bookings as ‘complete’ on the platform on the same day.
-
Provide accurate and timely booking notes.
-
If you’re waiting for payment, check whether your booking has been marked as confirmed and whether it falls within the payment period.
-
