How do I find the right match for me?

We know how important it is to find the right Social Carer (support worker) for your needs. Here are some of the ways Like Family can help you find the perfect match!

Recommended -  create an Activity Post! 

You can do this by clicking on the “Activities” tab and then selecting “Create a new Activity”.

Creating an Activity Post is the recommended way to find a match for a job and lets Social Carers apply directly to you. 

The Activities Post will be visible to our community who can then place their interest if the role fits in with their skills and availability. 

At the bottom of the Activity Post, you can see all people that have placed their interest in working with you. You can then click on their picture to view their profile and if you would like to - get in contact by sending message and organising a Meet and Greet!

Top Matches

We'll highlight recommended top matches on your dashboard.

Based on your location we will use our algorithm to recommend Social Carers in your area we think will be a great match, just click on their profile to read more about them and send a message. 

Location-based Search

Finding someone via the “Find a Social Carer” search option allows you to search for a person in your local area by scrolling through the database. 

You can filter the search by location, interests, gender and age and to include only Social Carers with a car. 

The people at the top of the search results are the closest match to your search, you can choose to message them from there.

Did you know we have an Events page? It's a great way to find accessible activities in your local area, like sensory-friendly museum sessions and movie screenings. You can see which Social Carers are interested in attending certain events and message them to see if they'd like to go with you!
